Stock disappears, the till is short, cash goes missing from a locked office, or fuel keeps vanishing from the yard. You have narrowed it to a handful of people but you cannot prove anything, and accusing the wrong person is worse than doing nothing.
We attend your premises and carry out EyeDetect® examinations on employees who have voluntarily agreed to be tested, focused on the specific incident rather than someone's general character. Each person tested gets their own documented result, which protects the innocent as much as it identifies a problem.
Testing takes about 30 minutes per person, so several employees can be seen in a single visit, usually outside trading hours to keep disruption and gossip to a minimum.
Testing in an employment context has to be voluntary. An employee cannot be forced to take a test, and refusal on its own should not be treated as evidence of guilt or used as grounds for dismissal. Handled properly, a test is one strand of an internal investigation alongside stock records, rota data and CCTV — not a substitute for a fair process.
We give you clear consent paperwork for each person tested and a written report per employee. Many employers find the greatest value is in clearing people quickly, so an investigation can be focused rather than left hanging over a whole team.
If you have an HR adviser or employment solicitor, involve them before testing. We are happy to speak to them about how the examination works and exactly what the report does and does not say.
We bring the equipment to you and work in any private room — an office, a meeting room, a staff room after hours. There are no wires or sensors, so there is nothing intimidating about the set-up, and each examination is around half an hour.
Where several employees are being seen, we schedule them so people are not sitting together waiting and speculating. Early mornings, evenings and weekends are all available.
Single tests are £495 including everything within 50 miles of Darlington, with 60p per mile beyond that quoted before you commit. For multi-employee investigations we quote a reduced per-person rate for the same visit — call 0330 088 5207 with the number of people involved and we will price it properly.
Invoices, purchase order references and corporate paperwork are all fine; you do not have to pay by card at the door.
No. Testing must be genuinely voluntary and you should not treat a refusal as an admission or use it alone to justify disciplinary action. Take HR or legal advice on your process before you offer testing.
A test result is supporting information, not a verdict. It should sit alongside the rest of your evidence within a fair disciplinary procedure, and any decision remains yours and your advisers'.
Typically six to eight in a full day, depending on the complexity of the questions and how many rooms are available.
Either. Most employers prefer on-site out of hours; some prefer a neutral hired meeting room so staff are not tested at work.
Yes. Multiple examinations in the same visit are quoted at a reduced per-person rate. Tell us how many people are involved and we will price it.
We arrive in an unmarked vehicle and nothing we bring identifies what we do. Results go only to your named contact.
